How to get to Navigli canals by metro
Overview
The Navigli are Milan's historic canal system, designed in part by Leonardo da Vinci. Today the Naviglio Grande and the Darsena are the heart of the city's nightlife: bars, restaurants, artisan workshops and the famous antiques market on the last Sunday of each month.

How to get there
Get off at Porta Genova FS on line M2 (green): from the exit it is about a 5-minute walk towards the Darsena and the start of the Naviglio Grande. Head in the direction of the railway station of the same name and cross towards the canals.
Good to know
💡 The area is at its best in the evening, for aperitivo and nightlife: expect big crowds at weekends. Metro M2 closes around 00:30; for a late-night return check the timetable or use night buses. Sant'Agostino station (M2) is also within walking distance.
