Pero — overview
Pero is, to date, the most recently opened station on the red line: it was inaugurated on 19 December 2005, three months after the Molino Dorino–Rho Fieramilano section it belongs to entered service. It has an unusual layout, with separate bores divided by a wall, one of the few Milan stations built this way. It serves the town of Pero, on the city's north-western edge.
