Frattini serves the neighbourhood around via Giovanni Frattini, in south-western Milan between Giambellino and Lorenteggio. It is one of the thirteen stations that entered service on 12 October 2024 with the full opening of the blue line, which connected this part of the city directly to Linate airport.
