Bignami — overview
Bignami is the lilac line's northern terminus, brought into use on 10 February 2013 with the first Bignami–Zara section. Construction had begun in September 2007. It serves the Bicocca-Bignami district in the northern suburbs and has a park-and-ride. Like the whole M5 it is a driverless automated line, with platform screen doors and full accessibility at every station.
