San Siro Stadio — overview
San Siro Stadio is the lilac line's western terminus and the stop for the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, home to Milan and Inter and a venue for major concerts: on match days it is the busiest station on the network, with crowds released in staggered waves. Work began in November 2010, and it was from here that the tunnel boring machines were lowered to dig the second section's tunnels. It opened on 29 April 2015.
