Isola — overview
Isola is the stop for the district of the same name, one of the most transformed in Milan: once a working-class area cut off from the rest of the city by railway tracks — hence the name — it now borders the Porta Nuova towers, with the Bosco Verticale a few steps away. The station was brought into use on 1 March 2014 as part of the M5's extension to Garibaldi FS.
