Famagosta Station
Line M2 · Milan Metro
Famagosta — overview

Famagosta opened on 1 November 1994, exactly thirty years after the Milan metro was inaugurated, as the terminus of the section from Romolo. During the 1990 excavations the wreck of a Rolls-Royce engine, the remains of a crashed aircraft, came out of the ground: one of those finds that tell the story of wartime Milan. Today it is where the green line splits between Piazza Abbiategrasso and the Assago branch, and it has a large park-and-ride car park next to the ATM depot.
