Cadorna FN — overview
Cadorna FN is the junction linking the metro to the Ferrovie Nord: the Malpensa Express to the airport leaves from here, along with trains to Como, Varese and Saronno. The station has four tracks, two for the M1 and two for the M2, in a distinctive fan-shaped layout: the green-line platforms were built back in 1964 and sat waiting until the M2 opened. Outside, in piazzale Cadorna, stands Claes Oldenburg's Needle and Thread, and both the Castello Sforzesco and Santa Maria delle Grazie are a few minutes' walk away.
