Wagner — overview
Wagner entered service on 2 April 1966 with the Pagano–Gambara section, the first branch on the Milan network. It serves piazza Riccardo Wagner and its covered market, the Mercato Comunale Wagner: built in 1929 and still one of the best places in the city for fish, cured meats and cheese. The surrounding district, between corso Vercelli and via Marghera, is residential and commercial in equal measure.
