Gambara — overview
Gambara opened on 2 April 1966 as the terminus of the branch from Pagano, together with the intermediate stops at Wagner and De Angeli, and kept that role until 18 April 1975, when the line was extended to Inganni. A note for anyone asking directions: it is pronounced Gàmbara, stressed on the first syllable, though plenty of locals get it wrong. It serves a residential district in the western part of the city, between piazzale Brescia and via Lorenteggio.
