Duomo — overview
Duomo is the busiest station on the network and the only place where the red and yellow lines meet. The M1 stop dates from 1 November 1964; the M3 interchange arrived on 3 May 1990 with the opening of the Centrale FS–Duomo section. The M1 platforms run beneath the northern side of the square, 340 metres from Cordusio and 688 from San Babila. Come up the stairs and you are facing the cathedral, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Palazzo Reale and the Museo del Novecento: the natural starting point for any visit to Milan.
