Gessate — overview

Gessate is the green line's eastern terminus and the outermost station on the whole Milan network: from here to the centre it is a ride of about forty minutes through the Martesana countryside. Opened on 13 April 1985 as the terminus of the extension from Gorgonzola, it is a surface station very similar to Cascina Antonietta. Between 26 July and 31 August 2014 it was closed for the works on the Tangenziale Est Esterna motorway. It has lifts and toilets.
