Crocetta — overview
Crocetta entered service on 16 December 1990 with the Duomo–Porta Romana section. Work on the yellow line had begun on 8 September 1981: nearly a decade of construction before opening. Like the other stations in the historic centre it has its tracks on two stacked levels. It serves the area between corso di Porta Romana and the State University, with the Policlinico hospital close by.
