Turati — overview
Turati is one of the M3 stations built with stacked rather than side-by-side tracks, a solution adopted to avoid tunnelling beneath buildings: the odd-numbered track runs on the lower level, the even-numbered one above. Opened on 3 May 1990 with the first Centrale FS–Duomo section, it serves the area between the Porta Nuova ramparts and via Manzoni, a short walk from Brera and the fashion quarter.
