Overview
The Duomo is the heart of Milan: one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world, with over 3,400 statues and the famous rooftop terraces from which, on clear days, you can see the Alps. The square in front is the city's main meeting point.

How to get there
Get off at Duomo station, served by lines M1 (red) and M3 (yellow). The station exits lead straight into Piazza del Duomo: as soon as you climb the stairs you are right in front of the cathedral, less than a minute's walk away. For the rooftops, the entrance with lift and stairs is on the right-hand side of the cathedral.
Good to know
💡 Buy your ticket online to skip the queue, especially for the rooftops. Security checks at the entrance require clothing that covers shoulders and knees. Duomo station is a busy interchange: watch out for pickpockets at peak times.
